Knowing they had a relatively short time frame and having a positive experience with a 40,000 square foot Rubb structure built in 2002, the Port knew Rubb was the solution to meet their project requirements.
This project involved a tight schedule and a difficult site. The project was further complicated by the fact that the Rubb building was replacing a competitor’s structure that had collapsed under snow load in February of 2003 after being in place less than a year. This event led to a rigorous review and inspection of Rubb’s design calculations and the Rubb structure itself to ensure full compliance with building code and insurance company requirements. Rubb not only easily met this challenge but again far exceeded its customer’s expectations. Nearly two decades later the structure has performed well and is further testament to Rubb’s rugged reliability.
