The BVE range building has a span of 24m (approx. 80ft) with a length of 100ft, as well as two 16′ x 16′ rolling shutter doors with electric operators.
Rubb was approached by FE&C and asked to provide a structure that could cover an indoor training facility near their remediation site in Richland, Washington. Interested in Rubb’s ability to customize the building, FE&C and Rubb sales team member Bob Normandeau discussed ideal size and specifications for the facility.
It was requested that the building be erected directly on soil, which was accomplished using Rubb’s I-Beam ground anchor system. The building is designed to meet 110mph wind and 20psf ground snow loads, and is clad in white and gray PVC coated fabric tensioned over hot-dip galvanized steel framing.
When asked about the building, Dunnum said, “We have used other vendors in the past for our facilities, but Rubb has been by far the most superior product we’ve used.”
