Rubb Buildings worked with Nason Construction and Amtrak’s designers to develop a temporary vehicle repair facility.
The BVE style structure, measuring 130’ (39.63m) x 180’ (54.88m) with 21’ (6.4m) sidewalls, is located in Wilmington, Delaware. This facility can serve up to 12 rail engines at one time and the structure is erected over four existing railroad tracks for easy entrance and exit. The building is designed with a 25 psf ground snow load and 90 mph wind/3 second gusts.
