Rubb Supports Port Operations
Rubb port storage buildings offer marine terminals a solution that allows for maximum flexibility with respect to multiple handling methods and configurations. Relocating and re-using these port buildings is easy and cost effective, which is ideal for the continuous growth and high demand of any port.

Low Maintenance / Low Costs
Our high-quality membrane materials and post-production galvanized framework deliver durability over time, making the cost of maintaining Rubb port storage and logistical harbor buildings more economical compared to conventional structures.

Energy-Efficient Roof Membranes
Translucent membranes allow natural daylight to illuminate the port storage building and workspace, while the white roof surface reflects heat. Optional Thermohall® insulation minimizes heat transfer, prevents condensation and virtually eliminates thermal bridging and air infiltration.

Multiple Door Options
Rubb offers a variety of different warehouse door solutions to suit the port environment and operations.

Rapid Construction, Installation and Relocation
Rubb port warehouses can be quickly erected, dismantled and relocated due to module pre-fabrication. Rubb can provide site supervisors or fully dedicated construction teams to complete any custom project.

Flexible and Cost-Efficient Foundation Systems
Rubb port warehouses can accommodate many foundation options such as concrete up-stand, ballast weights, and ground anchors into an existing surface. Rubb co-ordination with the groundwork contractor is key for the client to reach the most cost effective solution.

Reduced Time On-Site
Our established supply chain streamlines coordination of delivery and installation. Pre-fabricated elements and the ability to construct our buildings in a variety of weather conditions speeds up the port warehouse construction process.

Customizable Features
Port buildings can accommodate all types of door, ventilation and other systems and safely support high loads imposed by overhead cranes, ceiling-mounted HVAC and fire-suppression systems, fall-protection equipment and other superimposed loads.

Comprehensive Long-Term Service
Rubb personnel are on hand to provide help and support, from initial contact to quotation, installation and beyond. Rubb’s commitment to customer service continues after project completion and forms the basis for long-term customer satisfaction.

The Rubb Difference
The PVC coated fabric on our marine structures will not corrode in a maritime environment and allows the structure to accept differential settlement without the need for expensive pile foundations. These same features give Rubb an advantage when it comes to preventing leaky roofs - an issue that is common at many port facilities. Hot dip galvanization also allows for our steel frames to resist salt water corrosion and rust.
Rubb structures provide large, column free spaces that are illuminated by natural light through the translucent roof, saving on electricity costs over a long term period. This important feature allows a safer, more efficient working environment than is available in traditional construction port bulk storage facilities.
Rubb buildings are suitable for storing any variety of goods, even extremely sensitive materials. Our climate-controlled warehouses allow for dehumidified storage environments, while our bulk storage and break bulk warehouses are ideally suited for storage of materials under the strenuous conditions of the marine environment.
In addition to port storage buildings, we offer shipyard buildings to enclose fabrication and maintenance projects, as well as ship cocoons and barge covers to allow for the protection of bulk goods while at sea.
