Injury and illness losses from incidents are costly and preventable. An effective health and safety program is an integral part of doing or being in business; it must be part of everything that takes place within our operation and it must be part of everyone’s responsibility. For example, we have a dedicated Safety Manager that conducts safety audits on the manufacturing facilities every week as well as keeping the first aid cabinets stocked at all times. The Rubb Safety Committee meets regularly to review all safety policies and issues.
While the company must provide safe and healthful conditions for each of its employees, in return, the company expects and insists that each employee recognize their obligation to conduct themselves with due regard not only for their own safety but for the safety of their fellow employees as well. In fact, working safely at Rubb Building Systems is considered a condition of employment.
Each employee is responsible for implementing this policy by continually observing all safety practices, rules, and standards throughout the workday.
All employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including the following: reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents immediately to their supervisors or a safety and wellness committee representative; wearing required personal protective equipment; and participating in and supporting safety and wellness committee activities.
All accidents and injuries can be prevented and it is our goal to be accident free. Rubb is serious about safety!
