Shipboard construction presents many challenges for marine contractors, one of which is working in inclement weather. Trying to make major modifications on the deck of any vessel is difficult when the weather is good and down right miserable when Mother Na-ture rears her ugly head.

When the Cianbro Corporation of Pittsfield, Maine needed crane liftable structures for shipboard work enclosures, they turned to the experts at Rubb for a simple and cost ef-fective solution. Using two Rubb 39.4' (12m) x 40' (12.2m) THA shelter range buildings equipped with lifting hardware and slings, Cianbro personnel can easily position the shelters on deck and perform their tasks in a dry environment. When the work is com-plete, the structures can then be lifted to a new location wherever needed.
