Rubb's Structure Named Frequent Flyer
Rubb, Inc. recently discovered that their order #07115 became a "frequent flyer," serving three separate locations around the world in support of CH2MHILL- a long term customer of Rubb.
On October 15, 2007, Rubb order #07115 started out like any other project: sign a contract, get drawings approved, engineer and fabricate the structure, ship it out. Little did they know that this particular 70' by 83' BVE with I-beam foundation, various doors and a simple electrical system would be relocated in a period of just over four years, to Wahiawa, Hawaii; Aberdeen, Maryland and now to Columboola, Australia.
Rubb Lands First Salt Shed in New York
Rubb, Inc. recently provided the Town of Pelham, NY with a custom salt shed for their Public Works Department.
Working with MVM Construction, Rubb, Inc. fabricated and installed the 30' x 65' BVR structure in less than 90 days. The building features two 20' x 20' sidewall openings to facilitate salt and sand loading operations.
A Right Royal visit for Rubb
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal commended the efforts of all those involved in helping to combat piracy in Seychelles during visits to meet representatives from EU NAVFOR and the Seychelles Coastguard at Rubb Buildings Ltd's latest installation.
The client saw Rubb hangars in action in Afghanistan and decided a 20.4m (66.9ft) EFASS with Trident doors at both ends would meet CAE's needs. The hangar was delivered and erected at Seychelles International Airport in Victoria in November, 2010.
BVE Type Storage Facility for the Town of Sanford, Maine USA
Rubb has recently finished fabrication for a new salt storage facility for the Town of Sanford, Maine. After two years of providing several options to the town, a 70ft (21.34m) x 80ft (24.39m) BVE Rubb structure with 16.4ft (5m) sidewalls was chosen.
BVR Type Storage Facility for Metro Ports, Long Beach, California USA
Metro Port was looking for a small structure that could be relocated with a crane around its site. The structure was designed and manufactured with multiple custom openings which allow the usage of a specialized conveyor system to load bulk material.
Storage Facilities for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kandahar, Afghanistan
Rubb, Inc. and Cocoon, Inc. recently collaborated in the design, delivery and installation of eight maintenance hangars and two sun shades for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The hangars and sunshades are designed to accommodate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) and were provided as part of a major ramp expansion project at the Kandahar Airbase, Afghanistan.
Røros Flyservice AS (Winter 2010)
Rubb AS hassupplied a Rubb Type FX Thermohall aircraft hangar to Røros Flyservice AS. This hangar measures 30m wide by 30m long with 6m sidewall. The building is located in one of the coldest areas of Southern Norway and it is used for a dual purpose. Firstly, to carry out service on smaller aircraft with a wing span up to 25m. The secondary purpose is to park aircraft indoors at night to reducing icing / freezing before use the next day. For this purpose the Rubb Thermohall insulation system provided an ideal solution for the customer. Rubb AS also supplied the fabric doors that go the full width of the building. Røros Flyservice AS is a company that have over 500 employees and they offer a varied service to the aviation industry. They offer charter of aeroplanes, the supply food and cleaning services for airlines, and a variety of ground service tasks. Rubb is proud to supply such a valued customer with the patented Thermohall system.
Twelve Rubb Buildings Destined for Afghan Deployment
Rubb is in a class of its own after winning a large contract which will see 12 military buildings deployed to Afghanistan throughout 2010. The company's design team has taken the EFASS range of hangars to the next dimension with four of the structures featuring newly developed wider Helidoor technology.
Rail Mounted Facility for Aircraft Repair Company, Texas, USA
When a leading aircraft maintenance, repair and over-haul company needed a custom rail-mounted shelter system at its large airport facility, it turned to Rubb, Inc. to design, fabricate and install two of these systems.
Rubb Inc. to Move into Expanded U.S. Steel Fabrication Facility in Sanford, Maine
In Spring 2010 Rubb Inc. will move into its expanded U.S. steel fabrication facility in Sanford, Maine. This expansion will effectively triple the usable area for steel fabrication at the Rubb plant thereby significantly increasing production capacity.
Ocean Transportation Services Barge Cover
Ocean Transportation Services recently accepted delivery of their 20' x 53.4' BVR Range Rubb building for use as a sensitive equipment cover on their barge. Once the barge arrives at its destination, the Rubb building is crane-lifted on to the dock, dismantled and packaged for a truck shipment back to the original site. Ease of disassembly and the ability to lift the structure via crane were key design attributes of the Rubb structure.
North Country Union High School's New Storage Building
North Country Union High School of Newport, Vermont recently took delivery of their 40' x 100' BVE Range Rubb Building to use for storage. Rubb's BVE building design provided the school with a rigid structure that would stand up to the heavy snow and windloads associated with Vermont winters.
Northern Machinery Sales Storage Shelter
Installed in the Fall of 2008, this 41' x 80' THA Container range shelter serves as a storage facility for Northern Machinery Sales of Sanford, Maine. Three sides of the shelter were secured to 40' ISO shipping containers. The shelter was manufactured with a 17' x 12' clear opening on the front gable end for a customer supplied door.

Wallops Island Flight Facility
Over a 13-month period beginning in February of 2008, Rubb's design and fabrication team worked closely with the Wallops Island Flight Facility to engineer, manufacture and install a high (50') wall structure to support the facility's MLAS (Max Launch Abort System) program.
