This is a Rubb Building type FX supplied to Stranda Prolog AS. This is a company that supplies the fisheries and fish farming industry in Norway from Averøy. Standa Prolog AS supplies vacuum pumping systems for salmon, trout and pelagic fish as well as fish/water separators for salmon, trout and pelagic fish. They also supply graders for live fish installed in well boats.
The Rubb building is 15m wide x 17.5m long with 6m sidewall. Due to high snow load the trusses are spaced at only 2.5 metres. Rubb AS supplied a motorized overhead door measuring 6.5m x 6m. We also supplied a manual door of 4m x 4m. The building is supplied with lighting, and connection to a heater. Due to the corrosive environment Rubb has also supplied an inner liner to ensure that the surface coating that goes on in the building does not damage the galvanizing.

Rubb Inc. of Sanford, Maine recently partnered with MRM Construction Services of Phoenix, Arizona, to supply a custom frame supported membrane structure for the U.S. Border Patrol. The building, a 115′ (35.06M) wide by 100′ (30.48M) long BVE structure with a 19.7′ (6M) leg height, will serve as an interim vehicle checkpoint on Interstate 19 just north of the US / Mexico border in Nogales, Arizona.

Rubb’s team worked closely with MRM Construction Services, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Border Patrol to successfully engineer, deliver and install the open gable ended structure. Since the building completely spanned I-19, Rubb’s technicians worked nights while traffic on the Interstate was diverted around the work zone. The structure was completely installed in just over a week and came in on time and on budget.

This is an NV type shelter measuring 12m wide x 24m long with 5m sidewall. This is the first traditional type Rubb buildings that has been fitted with the patented “Thermohall” insulated fabric. The buildings were purchased by Hæhre Maskinutleie AS which is a company that rents out technical equipment and machines. This particular building was chosen due to the high internal clearing that is needed for large machinery which will be used to make the “Toven” tunnel in Nordland in the North of Norway. The Hæhre Group is an important Rubb customer and we are very pleased that they continue to value Rubb buildings.
